We are looking for an enthusiastic and extroverted intern with an affinity for business development, to take us to the next level in this area! You will work in a young team with an average age of 27. We like hard work, but also sociability and a regular beer after work and hopefully soon with a walk-out in the pub!
The internship
Your job is actually quite simple: to set up and execute smart and effective sales strategies for our company. Within our team we have relatively little experience with this, and now we are looking for someone who can take this up seriously and well. To achieve this, you will receive training from an external and experienced business developer. He will help you with the ins and outs of sales, so that you can then get started yourself. And please note: this work will be quite varied, because you will not only be doing this for Searchlab, but also for a number of other concepts set up by us: a company in building augmented reality (AR) apps, and later also a company that provides training.
Your concrete tasks will look approximately as follows:
- For Searchlab, you’ll be making a lot of calls: we generate leads through online ads, which we follow-up.
- In addition, it’s up to you to figure out how we can collect more leads, or what other methods we can use to sell our services.
- For the AR app development you will map out our target group: who can we best reach, and in what way? This could be done via LinkedIn, but it’s up to you to forge a plan for this. For the AR apps we could also schedule meetings to show demos, so physical appointments are also a possibility.
- A third company is optional for now: on behalf of this company we provide training. We will look at this together, to what extent we want to include it. If we do, it will be similar to the AR apps project: you will have to map the target group and approach it in the right way.
- It’s up to you to show good results: if you succeed, we won’t hesitate to offer you a job after your internship, and build up our ‘sales department’ ourselves!
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with a sympathetic appearance.
- HBO or WO educated.
- Demonstrated affinity with business development/sales.
- Someone with a demonstrable lack of interest
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing.
- Clear and structured mind.
- Someone who is proactive. You will have a lot of freedom and responsibility, which you will have to fill in with your own plans.
- Someone who is representative of our company.
What are your duties and responsibilities?
- Devise and execute sales strategies, under the guidance of an experienced and external business developer.
- Cold acquisition through LinkedIn.
- Making sales calls, via email, phone or in physical meetings.
