Dry flowers, the trend of 2020/2021. Whether you go into a store or restaurant, you’ll find them everywhere. A great reason for Flower Feast to jump on that trend, with a new webshop. They knocked on our door with a simple goal: to drive organic visibility in Google through the roof. As a new webshop with a completely new domain, a nice challenge, which we gladly took on together.

Making important terms visible

Flower Feast has a nice range of products. They sell individual dried flowers, but also dried bouquets, small vases with dried flowers or various dried flower accessories. It was up to us to think how to get the most profitable products visible as quickly as possible, keeping in mind widely varying search volumes and competition. After several checks and extensive keyword research, it was soon clear how we were going to approach this: expanding content significantly, and big focus on link building.

Improve link building & content

Several category and product pages were given a major overhaul. In addition, when possible within the theme used, some technical improvements were made, such as an improvement in website speed. Next, it became very important to increase the authority of this new domain. The link profile was built through a combination of high-quality links as well as natural links from blogs and directories. This combination of work began to bear fruit after about six months.

The results turned out well. For example, we reached position 3 with “drying bouquet” and “drying bouquets,” “cotton branches” position 2, “vase with drying flowers” position 1 or position 2 for “willow cats.
